Equine reproduction is our passion!
We offer reproductive services for both stallions and mares. The majority of Dr. Christina Mohos’ continuing education focuses on reproduction and foal management.
Reproduction
Vaccines
Wellington Equine Services offers on-farm semen collection and fertility analysis. Once a stallion is trained to collect using an artificial vagina, we can process the sperm for transport as fresh cooled semen. Post insemination motility analysis is also a valuable indicator of the fertility of the stallion you are breeding your mare to.
Mares
We offer breeding services to horses of all breeds, from Standardbreds to Fjords. Wellington Equine Services has much experience dealing with broodmares. We offer breeding services and can offer advice and expertise when dealing with problem mares.
Foals
It is important to get your foal off to a good start. This can make a world of difference in the way your foal will thrive in the future. Ask us if you have any questions concerning foal vaccines, deworming or management. All of our clients can be provided with copies of their x-rays upon payment, if requested.
